Most of us take for granted the most sophisticated machine that has  ever been created : the human body.

I spoke about the magnitude of sound in my previous blog and I am now adding visual and olfactory stimuli and their effect on the brain. Vision, hearing and smell  constitute sensory circuits that gather information transmitted to the brain with one particular trait , there is no physical contact with the object that emits that stimulus. This makes it even more fascinating ,ever more so, realizing that this data triggers perception and cognitive responses.

In the animal kingdom this constitutes the key to survival. But for humans it is a much more complex mechanism that interacts with our emotional processes and experiences, our relationship to people and our surroundings. These three wireless senses build up throughout our lives creating emotional and behavioral responses.

This is just a basic assessment of the wonders of these mechanisms. More complete scientific research can be complemented by each one of you readers.

Many studies are focusing on the way we perceive and react to such data and how its manipulation may infer on decision making and reshaping of biased attitudes. This is material for further chapters.
